It Starts with a Contract: Documenting Supervision and Supervision Methods-June 9, 2024

$115.00

Course Content and Learning Objectives

The work of the supervisor goes beyond scheduled meetings to oversee and guide supervisees clinical practice. It also necessitates that we participate in the application process by keeping and maintaining appropriate documentation and assisting our supervisees with navigating the licensure process. In this workshop, participants will review and complete the required applications for associate and full counselor licensure and the recommended forms for documenting supervision. The presenter will guide participants through the process of supervision, exploring methods and formats that can be utilized in supervision encounters. Finally, addressing the challenges that may unfold in supervision and finding an ethical resolution will be explored. This training provides participants with an opportunity to

  1. Recognize necessary components of the licensure application requiring supervisor and supervisee input.

  2. Learn and practice effective documentation strategies and record keeping for clinical supervision.

  3. Understand the purpose of ongoing feedback and formal evaluation of supervisees in order to identify and address any challenges to supervisee professional development.
